Artist Statement:
My process begins with research and selection of images from vintage printed ephemera. Each found component’s original context is stripped away or inverted to serve a new purpose and evoke an original sentiment. Through this exploration, commentary is possible through a unique visual vocabulary. I use this language to reflect on themes of nostalgia, existential anxiety, and the cultural identity of printed imagery.
